Respite Care for Children
The Cerebral Palsy League’s Respite Care Program is a short-term, care option that provides caregivers of children with developmental disabilities, opportunities to partake in activities outside of providing care. The purpose of this care is to allow temporary, time-limited breaks in a manner that maintains the level of care needed by the child, while allowing the caregiver to manage other aspects of their life.
Care for a child with a developmental disability can result in financial and emotional hardships for many families. Accordingly, the Cerebral Palsy League is dedicated to providing relief for caregivers and families, sustaining their overall health and wellbeing. Our goal is to provide high-quality respite care that attends to the personal and basic health needs of the child while enhancing his or her independence, dignity, safety, and comfort.
